What people actually buy
Hoodies and sweatshirts are the biggest category after jerseys, and the choice is between Nike's Sideline line, which the players wear and which fits like athletic wear, and the heavier fleece from Fanatics-branded and 47 Brand lines, which fit like a normal hoodie. For a December game, the heavy fleece under a jersey is the standard Lumen Field uniform. T-shirts and long sleeves follow the same split: Nike Dri-FIT for performance fabric, cotton blends from everyone else for comfort.
Jackets
Nike's Sideline jackets are the on-field pieces, sized athletic. The Starter satin jacket in the throwback colors is the one that sells out; if you see it in your size in royal, buy it. Rain shells matter more here than in most NFL cities, and the team-branded ones from Columbia and Nike are worth the premium over a generic shell only if you want the logo; the roof covers most seats anyway.
Helmets, flags, and the house
Riddell makes the licensed helmets in three tiers: the mini helmet for shelves and autographs, the Speed replica at full size, and the authentic on-field model at several hundred dollars. Flags come as 3x5 house flags, garden flags, and the car flags that clip to a window; the car flags do not survive freeway speed, whatever the packaging says. Blankets, pajamas, socks, doormats and dog jerseys are gift-season products, and our gift guides sort them by recipient and price.
Licensed or not
The gear category is where knockoffs concentrate, especially on marketplaces. The licensed makers to look for are Nike, Fanatics, 47 Brand, New Era, FOCO, Riddell, Outerstuff for kids, and Mitchell & Ness for throwbacks. Anything else with the logo on it is unlicensed, which is a legal problem for the seller and a quality problem for you.
