The first Week 3 practice report is due Wednesday by 1:00 p.m. Pacific. On Monday the team said it plans for Sam Darnold to return to practice this week; Wednesday's report will show whether he does and at what level.

How the NFL injury report works
Every club files injury reports under the league's Personnel (Injury) Report Policy. The policy's stated purpose is "full and complete information on player availability," and it calls accurate reporting "of paramount importance in maintaining the integrity of the game." Clubs report to the league office, the opposing team, the media and broadcast partners. Violations can bring fines on the club, fines or suspensions for individuals, and forfeited draft picks. The rules below are from the 2017 edition of the policy, the last version the league published in full.
When each report is due
There are two reports. The practice report says how much each injured player practiced. The game status report says whether he is expected to play. Both are due by 4:00 p.m. New York time (1:00 p.m. Pacific) "or as soon as possible after the completion of practice." A team facing an opponent in another time zone may wait until that opponent's practice ends, which is why a Seahawks report sometimes posts mid-afternoon Pacific.

The Seahawks play five non-Sunday games in 2026: the Wednesday opener, Thursday at Denver, Monday nights against Chicago and Dallas, Saturday at Philadelphia and Christmas Day against the Rams. The policy table has no Wednesday or Friday column; for those games this page follows the same two-days-before pattern and says so.

A player who takes part in individual drills but not the team period is listed as limited. On a walk-through or day off, clubs still file, and mark the participation as an estimate; this page shows those with an asterisk. Rest days for healthy veterans are listed as "Not Injury Related."
Changes after the final report
If something happens after the game status report that could affect whether a player plays, the club must report it immediately, with a window between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. local time that can wait until 8:00 a.m. A questionable or doubtful player who does not travel to a road game must be changed to Out. If a player was on the practice report all week, had no game status designation and is then made inactive, the club has to explain why. The last word comes at the inactive-list deadline, 90 minutes before kickoff.

When does the Seahawks injury report come out?
For a Sunday game, practice reports come out Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and the game status report (Out, Doubtful, Questionable) comes out Friday. Each is due by 4:00 p.m. New York time, 1:00 p.m. Pacific, or as soon as possible after practice ends. Thursday, Saturday and Monday games shift the schedule; the table on this page shows this week's dates.
What does questionable mean on the NFL injury report?
The league defines Questionable as "uncertain if player will play." Doubtful means "unlikely to play" and Out means "will not play."
What do DNP, limited and full mean?
They describe practice, not game availability. Did Not Participate is zero percent of a player's normal repetitions, Limited is less than 100 percent, and Full is 100 percent.
What if a player is on the practice report but has no game status?
Under league policy, a player listed on the practice report during the week but not on the game status report is one the club is certain will play.
