How the staff is organized
Macdonald runs the defense in the sense that the scheme is his, but Aden Durde calls it as coordinator, with Karl Scott coordinating the pass defense and Chris Partridge the run defense underneath him. On offense, Brian Fleury took over as coordinator for 2026, hired from the 49ers in February to keep the scheme that won the Super Bowl, with Jake Peetz coordinating the passing game and coaching quarterbacks, Justin Outten coordinating the run game, and John Benton and Thomas Hammock as senior offensive assistants over the line and backs. Jay Harbaugh runs special teams. Leslie Frazier, a former head coach in Minnesota, is assistant head coach. The strength and performance group under Ivan Lewis and Danny van Dijk is unusually large for an NFL staff.
Next on the schedule: Seahawks vs. Kansas City Chiefs (Sun, Oct 25), then Seahawks vs. Chicago Bears (Mon, Nov 2). Ticket guides for the next home games: Kansas City Chiefs and Chicago Bears. The 2026 roster lists every player the staff coaches.
