Seahawks at Broncos game guide: Thursday Night Football in Denver

By Kyle. Published 2026-10-06, updated 2026-10-12.

Both teams are 3-2, and both played on Sunday. Seattle lost 32-29 to the 49ers at Lumen Field after four turnovers turned into 21 San Francisco points, and Denver came from behind to win 23-17 at the Chargers on three takeaways of its own. Now it is three days to Thursday night in Denver, on Prime Video. It is the Super Bowl champions’ first Thursday game of the season and Seattle’s first trip to Denver since 2018. Updated Monday afternoon, October 12, with the first injury report; Sunday’s results, the line and the forecast are from Monday morning.

How to watch

Prime Video has it nationally. Thursday Night Football is Prime Video’s package, and Amazon’s schedule lists Seahawks at Broncos as its Week 6 game, kicking off at 8:15 p.m. Eastern, which is 5:15 in Seattle. Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit call the game, with Kaylee Hartung on the sideline. You need a Prime membership, which Amazon lists at $14.99 a month or $139 a year in the U.S., with a 30-day free trial. It plays on smart TVs, streaming boxes, game consoles, phones and the Prime Video app.

Other ways in. Amazon says every Thursday game also streams live on Twitch and in Spanish on Prime Video, and NFL+ streams it on phones and tablets. The Seahawks’ own how-to-watch page for this game lists NFL+ for fans in the local market.

Local broadcast TV. Amazon’s schedule page says each Thursday Night Football game “is available on over-the-air TV stations in the two home markets,” which means Seattle and Denver. As of Monday afternoon, neither the Seahawks’ how-to-watch post for the game nor Amazon names the Seattle station for this one, so it is not confirmed yet. We will add it when the club announces it.

Radio. Seattle Sports 710 AM and KIRO Newsradio 97.3 FM carry the game, with Steve Raible and Dave Wyman on the call and Jen Mueller on the sideline. The Seahawks app carries the radio call too, and the club lists SiriusXM channels 83 or 193. Westwood One has the national radio call, with Kevin Kugler on play-by-play and Ryan Harris as the analyst. Out-of-town fans can find the rest of the club’s radio network on seahawks.com.

The line

As of Monday, October 12, at 6:39 a.m. Pacific, DraftKings has Seattle favored by 3, with a total of 41.5 and a moneyline of Seattle -155, Denver +130, per ESPN’s game data. The VegasInsider consensus at the same time is the same: Seattle -3, total 41.5, -155. Its opening number, posted in May, was Seattle -2.5 with a total of 43.5 and a moneyline of -130, so the spread has grown by half a point and the total has dropped two. ESPN’s matchup predictor gives Seattle a 52.1 percent chance to win, down from 54.9 a week ago.

The injury reports come fast on a short week, Monday through Wednesday, and they can move it. Our pick is coming in a preview this week, and the Seahawks odds page carries the line for every game and Seattle’s record against the spread.

As with every game: Washington state allows sports betting only in person at tribal casinos. We carry no sportsbook advertising, and the numbers are here because fans ask, not as advice.

A short week and the injury calendar

Thursday games change the week. Both teams play on Sunday, October 11, so there are three days between games, and both teams travel after Sunday: Seattle flies to Denver, and Denver comes home from Los Angeles. The league’s injury reporting calendar moves up to match:

Day Report
Monday, October 12 First practice report
Tuesday, October 13 Second practice report
Wednesday, October 14 Third practice report and the game status report: out, doubtful or questionable
Thursday, October 15 Inactives, 90 minutes before kickoff (3:45 p.m. PT)

On a short week the Monday and Tuesday sessions are often walk-throughs, so the reports can be estimates of what a player would have done in a full practice. Each report is due by 4 p.m. Eastern (1 p.m. Pacific) or after practice ends. Both teams’ reports go on our injury report as they post. A player with a practice line and no status on Wednesday is expected to play.

Monday’s report. Neither team practiced, so both reports are estimates. Seattle listed linebackers Chazz Surratt (calf) and Drake Thomas (ankle) as not practicing, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba (ankle), Drew Lock (right forearm), Leonard Williams (ankle), Beau Stephens (shoulder) and Zach Charbonnet (knee) as limited; Irv Charles and George Holani were full. Denver listed cornerback Pat Surtain II and safety Talanoa Hufanga, both with ankle injuries, as not practicing, and cornerback Riley Moss (ribs) and defensive end Sai’vion Jones (shoulder) as limited; safety Brandon Jones and guard Ben Powers were full.

If you are going to Denver

It is a sellout for parking. Empower Field’s page for the game says pre-purchased on-site parking permits are sold out, though some may turn up for resale on the NFL Ticket Exchange. There are a few first-come, first-served options on game day:

  • Lot C opens at noon Mountain, six hours before kickoff, and sells a limited number of spaces for $55, credit or debit only. The stadium expects it to sell out 30 minutes to an hour after it opens.
  • Lot A carpool section, for cars with four or more people, is $45, card only. No tailgating in that section.
  • Off-site lots at the Auraria Campus, the Denver Aquarium and Riverside Church are first-come, first-served. Ball Arena’s off-site parking is not available for this game.
  • ADA parking cannot be bought in advance. It is sold on arrival in Lot L ($35) or in the ADA sections of Lots D and G ($40), and a shuttle cart runs from the lots to the gates from three hours before kickoff.

The stadium’s advice is to plan for heavy traffic across the metro area and arrive by 4:15 p.m. Mountain.

Time (MT) Time (PT) What happens
Noon 11 a.m. Lot C opens for early tailgating
1:45 p.m. 12:45 p.m. Remaining lots open
3:15 p.m. 2:15 p.m. Mane Street opens outside Gates 9 and 10
4:15 p.m. 3:15 p.m. Gates open
4:45 p.m. 3:45 p.m. Inactives due, 90 minutes before kickoff
6:15 p.m. 5:15 p.m. Kickoff

Mane Street is the stadium’s pregame area on the south side, in front of Gates 9 and 10, with food, drinks, music and games; it opens three hours before kickoff. The Broncos’ theme for the night is “Fight Like A Bronco.”

Take the train. RTD’s C, E and W light rail lines serve Empower Field at Mile High Station, right by the stadium, and riders coming through Denver Union Station can connect from the A, B, G and N lines. For Denver’s Sunday night game against the Rams on September 27, RTD ran extra rail capacity on the C, E and W lines and warned of crowded platforms after the game. RTD has not posted its plan for this game yet. Its NextRide app sells a day pass, and you can tap a Visa or Mastercard, or a phone wallet, on the validator instead of queuing at a ticket machine.

Rideshare. Drop-off is at the northeast corner of the stadium near Gate 5, on Mile High Stadium Circle. Pickup is somewhere else: the Ball Arena rideshare lot at 5th and Walnut, about a 15-minute walk east.

Bags. The clear-bag rule is the same as at Lumen Field: one clear bag up to 12 by 6 by 12 inches, a one-gallon clear zip-top bag, or a small bag up to 4.5 by 6.5 inches. The stadium also bans artificial noisemakers like cowbells and air horns, outside alcohol, coolers and metal water bottles, but allows an empty clear plastic bottle up to one liter. There are paid lockers outside Gate 8 if your bag does not pass, and the stadium is cashless.

Tickets. The Broncos sell through Ticketmaster from the stadium’s page for the game, which also has the seating chart and the full parking details. If you want your name on the scoreboard, the Broncos take scoreboard messages for this game until Monday, October 12, at 5 p.m. Mountain, with the fees going to the Denver Broncos Foundation.

Seahawks news going in

  • 49ers 32, Seahawks 29. Seattle turned it over four times, two Sam Darnold interceptions by Renardo Green and fumbles by Emanuel Wilson and George Holani, and San Francisco scored 21 points off them, all in the first half. The last was Holani’s fumble at his own goal line with 13 seconds left in the half, recovered by Gracen Halton in the end zone. Mike Macdonald: “Way too many giveaways at this point in the season.” It is the second loss in three weeks decided by turnovers, after three of them at Washington.
  • The comeback that fell short. Nehemiah Pritchett’s interception set up Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s 16-yard touchdown, and Seattle led 26-21 late in the third quarter. San Francisco went ahead on a touchdown and a two-point conversion, Jason Myers tied it with his fifth field goal, and Eddy Pineiro kicked the winner with 1:56 left. On fourth-and-10 at midfield, Cooper Kupp was ruled short of the line to gain and replay upheld it. Kupp: “I knew it was close, but clearly it was short.”
  • Smith-Njigba. Five catches for 102 yards and a touchdown, his fourth 100-yard game in five; the club notes only Elroy Hirsch, Jerry Rice and Randy Moss had 100 yards and a touchdown in four of their team’s first five games. He talked about the third-down catch he did not make: “Really, just catch the ball, catch the damn football at the end of the day.” He is new on this week’s injury report, limited on Monday’s estimate with an ankle injury, though he finished Sunday’s game. Backup quarterback Drew Lock (right forearm) is also new, listed as limited.
  • The defense. San Francisco had 269 yards and went 4 of 12 on third down. Byron Murphy II sacked Brock Purdy twice and Ernest Jones IV once, the first sacks Purdy had taken this season. Myers was 5 for 5 on field goals, all from 40 yards or longer.
  • Running backs. Zach Charbonnet is not expected to come off the physically unable to perform list for Thursday. Macdonald: “The plan right now isn’t for sure for him to play. That could change, but as of right now, he’s not going to play.” He was listed as limited on Monday’s estimated report, and Macdonald said Monday: “As of right now, the answer is no, subject to change.” Jadarian Price is on injured reserve, which leaves Wilson, Holani, Velus Jones Jr. and Robert Henry Jr., who was inactive Sunday.
  • Drake Thomas’ ankle. The linebacker hurt his ankle in the second quarter and came back to finish the game; Macdonald said there were no other injury updates. Monday’s estimated report listed him, and Chazz Surratt (calf), as not practicing. Ty Okada made his season debut after missing four games.
  • The short week. Macdonald: “Let’s figure out ways to get better and let’s do it in a hurry because we play pretty soon.” Seattle is now two games behind San Francisco in the NFC West.

Broncos news going in

  • Broncos 23, Chargers 17. Denver trailed 17-10 going into the fourth quarter in Inglewood and scored on its last three possessions: Bo Nix’s 5-yard touchdown pass to Courtland Sutton, then Wil Lutz field goals of 19 and 36 yards. It is Denver’s third one-score win this season, after Jacksonville and the Rams.
  • Takeaways did it. Denver forced three turnovers, a season high, plus a fourth-down stop on a quarterback sneak: Brandon Jones recovered a fumble and intercepted Justin Herbert, and Zach Allen strip-sacked Herbert with Que Robinson recovering. Nix: “I don’t think we win the game without those turnovers.” Denver sacked Herbert five times.
  • An offense still looking for third downs. Denver went 1 of 12 on third down and gained 224 yards. Nix was 16 of 27 for 123 yards and a touchdown. Nix: “I don’t think it was my best, for sure.” Sean Payton: “It was good enough to win, but there are still a number of things that we need to improve on.”
  • A run game, late. Denver ran 29 times for 106 yards, both season highs, per the club, and 49 of those yards came on eight fourth-quarter carries. J.K. Dobbins had 68 yards on 18 carries and a 2-yard touchdown, his first since Week 5 of 2025.
  • Two cornerbacks. Pat Surtain II and Riley Moss were ruled out of the Chargers game after getting hurt against San Francisco. On Monday’s estimated report, Surtain (ankle) did not practice and Moss (ribs) was limited. Safety Talanoa Hufanga (ankle), who left Sunday’s game, was also listed as not practicing.
  • The season so far. Denver lost 31-10 at Kansas City in Week 1, beat Jacksonville 20-13 and the Rams 30-26 at home, lost 24-14 at San Francisco, and won Sunday. It is 2-0 at home.

The short version

Thursday, October 15, 5:15 p.m. Pacific, on Prime Video with Michaels and Herbstreit, and on the radio on 710 AM and 97.3 FM. The Seattle broadcast station is not announced yet. Both teams are 3-2 after Sunday: Seattle lost to the 49ers on four turnovers and Denver beat the Chargers on three takeaways. Seattle is a 3-point favorite with a total of 41.5 as of Monday morning. Monday’s estimated report has Drake Thomas and Chazz Surratt not practicing for Seattle, and Pat Surtain II and Talanoa Hufanga not practicing for Denver; game statuses come Wednesday. The first forecast has a chance of showers and a high near 58, colder after dark. In Denver, on-site parking permits are sold out, so take the C, E or W line to Empower Field at Mile High Station or get to Lot C when it opens at noon Mountain, and be at the gates by 4:15.
